Victoria Partridge Walsh, AIA, received her Master of Architecture from Yale University where she was awarded the John W. Storrs Scholarship, the Gertraud A. Wood Traveling Fellowship, and the David M. Schwarz Architectural Services Good Times Award. While at Yale, Victoria co-edited Retrospecta 2000-2001 and was nominated, for her work in Zaha Hadid’s studio, for the Feldman Prize. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Virginia where she was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and Chi Omega Sorority.
Victoria has practiced architecture in New York City since 2002. As a designer for Steven Harris Architects, she collaborated on the design for Play Lounge, a club in Queens, New York that received an AIA New York Interior Design Award in 2004. Later, as an associate at a+i design, Victoria managed a wide range of projects including art galleries, restaurants, and offices. In 2007, Victoria co-founded Walsh & Purdy Architects, a boutique design firm that specialized in residential renovations in New York City and Brooklyn.

In 2008, Victoria was awarded, in collaboration with Aurelie Paradiso and Hannah Purdy, an Independent Projects Grant from the New York State Council on the
Arts, for her proposal FlyNY: A Kite Competition. FlyNY 2009 engaged hundreds of community children in a dialogue about design through the making
and flying of kites along the Hudson River. In partnership with the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, the event raised money and awareness for the New York City Affiliate of Architecture for Humanity (AFHny). Because of the event’s success, Victoria is continuing her partnership with the Parks Department and AFHny to host the event annually.
